Helping School Leaders Flourish Through Sustainable and Effective Leadership Practices

The Flourish Movement program, which began in 2016, is an internationally award-winning program, designed with and for school leaders. Driven by data and grounded in research, Flourish offers practical strategies aimed at helping school leaders develop sustainable leadership practices by improving both their effectiveness and overall wellbeing. Program results include:

  • Boundary strength - up 54.2%

  • My personal time is my own - up 32.6%

  • Time spent in strategy - up 29.2%

  • Recovery activities at work - up 27.6%

  • My life is close to ideal - up 14.9%

  • Interruptions - down 35.5%

  • Time spent in conflict - down 25.2%

  • Sleep problems - down 19.4%

  • Stress - down 19.2%

  • Time spent in administration - down 18.8%

Globally Award Winning Program

We are incredibly proud of this project and the research behind it. In fact, back in 2020, we won an international award from the Academy of Management for Best Action Research Paper.

In 2023, we were a finalist for the Carolyn B. Dexter Award (Best International Paper in Organisational Development and Change). Dr John Molineux, our researcher from Deakin Uni was also invited to present our paper at the Academy's 83rd Annual Meeting in Boston.

Completing The Flourish Movement will contribute 24 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Leadership to support learning outcomes of students/children addressing Standard Descriptor(s) 6.2.4, 7.4.4 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher or Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
