Helping School Leaders Flourish, Not Just Cope
What we do
Designed by School Leaders for School Leaders
This movement was started when Bob Willetts an inspiring and proactive principal from Berry Public School, engaged Dr Adam Fraser to use his research and IP to build The Flourish Movement. The first Flourish group was conducted on the South Coast of NSW. Bob and those principals helped fine tune the program to suit the needs of educators everywhere. Due to its customised nature Flourish has achieved amazing results.
Research Based
The Flourish Movement is built on research and science. It has generated one of the most comprehensive and detailed data sets on school leader wellbeing anywhere in the world. Our research approach involves surveys, 10-day diary studies and interviews conducted by our research partner Dr John Molineux (Senior lecturer Deakin University).
Individualisation/Customisation
One of the greatest features of the Flourish Movement is that each group participates in the research. This not only gives them amazing insights in their wellbeing, engagement and behaviours. It also allows us to customised the program for each group participating in it.

Months Changing Lives

“Our research shows the demands of the School Leader role require them to push themselves constantly to over work, to over commit and to feel guilty about taking time for themselves or their families. You could say in some ways School Leaders are too resilient, too devoted and too optimistic for their own good. We need to protect School Leaders not because they are weak but because they are too strong. This is what Flourish is all about. “
